Why did you choose this particular frame fork set up?
Have always rode S&M and my son wanted my frame (S&M Tallboy) so I took his.
What sort of riding does your F+F set up suit?
Street
What’s the steering set up like (ie Stem, Bar rake, Bar height etc)?
Be honest, I used ride Castillo bars. Just got the Hoder’s cause everyone else was riding bigger bars.
Which parts of your set up are “Old man friendly”?
Its BMX so nothing is really old man friendly, but the free coaster helps. Just along for the ride in reverse. Cross bar pad, maybe.
Brand loyalty. What makes you run the brands you use?
S&M, they build and ride bikes for riders and not money. I get its a business, but you can still hold true to yourself and your culture. Datenite, the crew have been great to me and my boy. Great crew to ride with and they push me and the boy.
Is there a part of your set up that’s stayed fairly consistent with over the years?
LHD, had one the first LHD with actual free wheel on it. DK is pretty much hometown brand and I worked there for a bit. Great dudes and when LHD first came out back in the late 90’s early 2000’s, got a sample and never went back.
Is there one that has changed a lot?
Bars, they are so tall. Shorter rear ends and weight of bikes. My old Warpig weighed at least 40lbs with 4 pegs.
How has your perfect set up changed throughout the BMX eras?
I have always just set up my bikes to be short and for street. Bike also has to have parts that are gonna hold up to my fat ass. That’s why S&M
