Don’t really go out of my way to stand out. I do me, which is nothing but love for the sport. I ride everyday to never lose touch and watch props every spare minute I have to keep it real!

How’s business?

Business is BMX, and BMX RULES! Best job satisfaction in the world!

My wife and son can stay at home full time and I get to ride everyday and ticks over just fine, really happy!

What factors are impacting the bmx market right now (in either positive or negative ways)?

From my angle, we have so many skateparks in the area, heavy sessions happening every night, Silver Surfers on every weekend!! The scene is bloody rad and the locals understand the importance of our shop and what we do to help!

In the grand scheme of things bmx has always been a small core industry and that’s something I think a lot of people in the industry tend to forget! Bmx is built from nothing but good times and anyone freaking out about not having money may have forgotten why they got into it in the first place.

How long have you been trading?

Shops coming up to 6 years old

Who are you customers? Locals or online?

Walk-ins are the one for me, we offer a service untouchable by online! But if you wish to shop with EntityBMX.com we will bend over backwards to make sure you’re still pumped on supporting our shop.

Why start a bmx shop?

There’s 2 angles to this….

I’ve spent my life in bmx shops! In my eyes maintenence is half the fun of riding so I believe it’s key for every scene! We’ve always been so lucky to have great bmx shops locally, Hotwheels and then BMX plus which is where my career came to play! I ran bmx plus for the last 5 years of trading and when that came to an end, I knew it was my duty to keep the fire burning and start my own shop and keep the scene ALIVE!

It just so happened at that point I met Tony (prevail owner) and he wanted me on board to help with the skatepark so the work opportunity was still there but my heart only bleeds for bmx and he gave me the chance to start my business in the skatepark!

Also having that need to ride everyday wasn’t easy when I was on the tools as a welder! My best mate and foreman Leroy Maidment saw something special in me and helped me get the job in bmx plus! That way if I got broke off I could sit behind a till and still work, not have some jock boss scream at me every time I got hurt riding haha!

What’s hot? (What’s selling well at present)

I do well on grips, tires, seats, bars, I guess quick changes that make your bike feel good and get you pumped to ride!

Raiford grips and Momentum tires are a must have this way

What’s not? (What’s not really been selling well recently)

More bike sales would be great, 16/18” do really well but with all this crap floating round online I have to reduce bikes to beer money just to keep stock fresh really

What do you do to make you stand out in the bmx shop crowd?

One thing we do offer that’s special is we have a full blown metal workshop! We can offer any sort of repair, from fixing dents, cracks and bends all the way to custom bike modifications, gyro tabs, brake lugs, literally everything! (@bmxmods)

Don’t really go out of my way to stand out. I do me, which is nothing but love for the sport. I ride everyday to never lose touch and watch props every spare minute I have to keep it real! I aim to fill the roles anyone in my position should do.

Treat every customer the same, from a small grom to a top pro, I really appreciate you all!

We put on jams regularly, ride locally all the time with everyone, film with locals and produce dvds so riders get their shot to create something great to look back on.

As for the store image that’s all down to my man Steev B, he really brings a lot to the table with regular photos and videos to keep everyone pumped!

What’s your biggest challenge business wise?

No challenges to be honest, maybe boring stuff like doing taxes or what not. Keeping scooters out of the shop is tough too haha!

When was the last time you went riding?

I ride everyday, even if it’s a buzz round the bowl at prevail it’s everyday! With all the good weather going on the crew have been road tripping most nights! Sessions have been better than ever!

What’s the best bargain in your shop right now?

Always free hi-5s haha but when your a small store in a sea of online sharks everything is a bargain!

Always have fiver grips, cheap pedals, cables, seats etc – stuff kids can buy with their pocket money and always decent stuff, no rubbish in here!

Are you happy running a bmx shop business?

Happy? It’s an honour to be in my position!  I fully live my dream and my wife supports me 110%. I couldn’t be any happier!

Why should people shop with you?

I genuinely give a fuck!

I put every penny back into the store to create something good for you guys!

I know a lot of people want recognition for what they do but after all the years of riding the best thing I’ve learnt is good times come from riding with friends, road tripping and making that bmx dream come to life and when you come in here I’ll help get that inspiration pumping!!

Thanks and shoutout

Thanks to all the distros and customers that support what we do!

Massive thanks to Anthony Revell (stolen bike co) he has my back 110%, Tony Hill for giving my shop a home, Leroy Maidment for being the best and a true role model, Steev B for being a legend and Mark Noble down the road for just being the boss!
